Steak Sandwich
(serves 2)
INGREDIENTS:
2 steak slices (about 1.5cm thick)
4 tablespoons onion chips
3 teaspoons mustard
4 slices of bread
50g cheddar slices (or other easily melting cheese)
some ruccola (arugula)
METHOD
1. Heat up a non-stick frying pan. Add some oil and toast the bread slices until golden brown, then put them aside.
2. Put the steak slices between two sheets of greaseproof paper and pound with your fist until just under I cm thick. Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper, spread the mustard on them and sear the steaks in the hot pan for just 1 minute in each side – or more… according to your taste.
4. Place the bread slices on plates and divide the ruccola (arugula) between the sandwiches.
4. Remove the steaks from the pan, then slice and lay over ruccola (arugula) on the bread. Melt the cheese slices in the pan one by one (it takes only a blink of the eye), and cover the steak slices. Sprinkle with onion chips and lay another slice of bread on the top. Enjoy!
