Brownie



INGREDIENTS
200g dark chocolate (70%)
250g butter
80g cocoa powder
65g flour
360g caster sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder

optional:
75g dried sour cherries
OR
50g hazelnuts

METHOD
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/gas 4. Line a 24cm square baking tin with baking paper.
2. Melt the chocolate and the butter in a water bath. 
3. Mix the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder and sugar together in the mixer’s bowl.
4. Pour the melted chocolate-butter over it and let the mixer stir together well. Beat the eggs slightly in another bowl, then mix them into the chocolate stuff until you have a silky consistency.
5. If you use cherry or nuts spread them over the baking tin and pour the brownie mix on them. Bake in the oven for around 25 minutes. Don’t overcook it leave it a bit sticky in the middle.

I love it with vanilla ice cream and salted caramel on the top.
